this debut album „live“ captures felix ambach trio’s unique sound and way of communicating with each other. roger kintopf, julius gawlik and felix ambach have all known each other for over a decade playing together in various different projects. in 2020 bandleader felix ambach brought the three of them together to bring his compositions to life. the compositions are written for these three musicians specifically and serve as a frame for them to express themselves in the way they interact with each other. the deep trust and friendship between the musicians sets the ground for being vulnerable and free in the moment.

the album was recorded during their first tour through germany in january 2020 at one of the concerts in cologne. with its authentic and rough live sound it takes you to the small and very crowded jazz club it was recorded at.


emilia golos on synthesizer and victor fox on bass clarinet add another dimension to the trio sound on a couple of tracks.
