"poème" is the debut album of berlin-based trio reich / baumgärtner / pringle. the pieces are freely improvised and were recorded in berlin in 2022. featuring the unusual instrumentation of piano, violin and drums/percussion, the three independent voices create a web of sound characterised by dense, playful communication. their unmistakable collective sound invites you to pause and listen closely. their music is multi-layered, intricate, unrestrained and incisive.

the trio, consisting of maria reich, moritz baumgärtner and mark pringle, came together during the pandemic in 2020. together they create a vibrant acoustic musical environment. delicate tapestries of sound weave themselves into finely sculpted soundscapes, punctuated by wild, colourful outbursts. in the search for free interaction based on mutual trust, a focused listening environment is created. the three musicians draw on a wide variety of musical influences, transforming them into something new and uniquely their own.
