"keeping warm in your own weather, is my first release as a leader with my quartet, featuring the two pianists iannis obiols and alvin schwaar, and iago fernandez on drums.
the very genesis of this group was shaped after an impromptu session: in the moment we played and interacted freely, there emerged this fluidity between abstraction and beauty and all that is in between.

with this repertoire I wanted to create a space that allows the expression of different sides of myself, musically and beyond, in reference to the varying weather one may feel inside: the sky stays the same no matter what covers it, or which changes may occur.
with each song on this album, whether gentle or dense, the idea is to connect and provide an atmosphere for whatever one feels in the moment. 
i always found it difficult to describe my music in genres, but an attempt could be a subtle combination of jazz and free improvisation, with my admiration for 20th century classical music, together with rocky influences from my teenage hood.
